Tell all my friends They can go to heaven Tell ol' Saint Peter I don't need them here And if God don't want 'em Tell him I can't blame him And if he sent them somewhere else I wouldn't shed a tear So send them all back home Send them all back home Send them all back home Send them all back home Tell all my lovers They never truly loved me They only imagined They were giving me something true Tell all my teachers They never really taught me And everything They said to me I already knew So send them all back home Send them all back home Send them all back home Send them all back home
2.
Put on your overcoat Tell your mother you'll be a good boy But your heart's as black as raven's wings And it beats against the way of things You'll tear apart the world Like a brand new toy Put a pellet in your gun Today's the day you will become a man Well the rifle does the firing And the bullet tears a hole But the father's in the son As the death is in your hand Cross yourself And hope to die Pass a needle through the camel's eye You'll take your first life today So point the gun and fire away Down come the raven's wings That is the way of things The more things change The more they stay You wave your courage round In the growing dark And what's a man But a bird with shame Who has no wings to fly away So cock your pistol and take aim And pour your love into his heart
3.
If the dark Were to bind Your pretty fingers to mine We could sing Halleloo Hallelujah Halleloo Halleloo Hallelujah If the moon Were to press Your pretty ear Up against my chest You could hear My heart sing Halleloo Hallelujah Halleloo Halleloo Hallelujah If the dawn Were to free The cool damp earth From beneath my feet We could float in the sun And sing Halleloo Hallelujah Halleloo Halleloo Hallelujah Halleloo Halleloo Hallelujah
4.
You can go to hell You can make a scene You can do what you like If you know what I mean You can close your eyes You can hide away the truth Pretend you never need me I think you already do But you can never have love You can never have love You can never have love You can never have love You can go to France You can buy a car You can drive it real fast And run away real far You can stay in bed You can sleep alone And when you finally wake up You'll find that everybody's gone But you can never have love You can never have love You can never have love You can never have love But you can never have love You can never have love You can never have love You can never have love
5.
You Carry On 03:40
Your body's on the stone Your mind is going home Your heart is all alone You carry on You carry on Your hands are on the moon Your feet are in the tomb Your stomach's saving room You carry on You carry on Whoa oh oh Oh You carry on You want to play your part (You buy a bag of rice) You draw the Jack of Hearts (You feed it to your mice) He cuts into your heart (You freeze them in the ice) You carry on You carry on You're born into your health (Your fingers made of wood) Upon a sea of wealth (Do everything you should) Just you and no one else (Do nothing you could) You carry on You carry on Whoa oh oh Oh You carry on

about

A collection of outsider folk/folk punk type songs I wrote circa 2008-2009. Lots of found percussion, plasticky synths, and prepared guitar. These make me miss my Juno 6. I wrote a bunch of other songs back then, but these were the only good ones I still have access to.
